47th ABAV International Tourism Expo and 52nd Braztoa Business Meeting present their 2019 edition, which is renowned as one of the largest and most important business events in Brazil. As it congregates the entire tourism chain, it plays an important role in transforming the sector by bringing people together and providing the domestic market with a fresh and contemporary look at the global travel and tourism industry.

The event is held in an inspiring environment that values and stimulates the growth of all segments, empowering professionals by providing new ideas, contacts, technologies, tools and business opportunities and by anticipating trends and market transformation processes, as these take place in an increasingly fast and impacting manner.

The event is organized and conducted by the Brazilian Travel Agencies Association (ABAV), which is present in 26 Brazilian states and in the Federal District. ABAV’s members include 2.2 thousand travel agencies, operators and consolidators and these account for 80% of all domestic sales. For the sixth consecutive year, ABAV relies on an important partnership with the Brazilian Tour Operators Association (Braztoa), which holds its traditional Business Meeting at ABAV Expo, valuing the fair due to its importance.

Designed to identify and meet the different demands of the tourism production chain, especially those of travel agents, as they are the main travel distribution channel in Brazil, ABAV Expo contributes to a different way of thinking in an ethical way. This vision guides its 2019 edition and makes it a definitive moment for tourism to build up strength and connect with the latest global challenges.

A state-of-the-art non-profit entity, Braztoa promotes actions and partnerships that value the business activities of its members, thus supporting the development of the tourism market in a sustainable way.
Those include the partnership between Braztoa and ABAV, which, for the sixth year in a row,team up to make one of the largest tourism events in Brazil come true.

About Braztoa
Braztoa (Brazilian Tour Operators Association) representstour operators, collaborators and companies selling products and destinations, as well as invited parties, which are in charge ofapproximately 90% of all organized leisure trips marketed by the production chain in Brazil.

In 2018,Braztoa’s members registered a revenue of R$ 13.1 billion and transported 6.5 million passengers, accounting for an economic impact of R$ 11.2 billion on the national economy in that same period (includes national destination packages and average daily expenses spent by tourists for extras at their destinations).

 Braztoa has held four Business Meetings per year (two in São Paulo, one in Rio de Janeiro and one in Porto Alegre) since 1990, all of which focus on business, training and trends aimed at travel agents. Those events are a must for all Brazilian tourism professionals.
