Meet the new spaces and partners of ABAV Expo 2018
With a little over one month to happen, 93% of the 46th ABAV International Tourism Expo and 50th Braztoa Trade Meeting - the largest event in Brazils travel and tourism sector space - has already been sold. The event, which will take place from September 26 to 28, in Anhembi (SP), will gather 23.000 professionals from the sector and 1.100 exhibition brands in a 37.800 m² area.
According to Geraldo Rocha, the National ABAV president, this strong adhesion demonstrates that the market is very optimistic with the fair this year. "It shows that due to the demand, the sector is expanding again. An example of this is that the airlines are again emphasizing on new national and international routes offerings. The fair represents the right moment to do business, meet new destinations and connect sectors. A place that involves all the niches of this market, an incoming and jobs generator which leverages an entire economy network from the north to south of the country and to other destinations around the world," adds Rocha.
The 2018 event has simultaneous programming which is expected to extend the business opportunities for exhibitors and visitors such as some new ones, such as the Incentive Meeting, held by AMPRO - Promotional Marketing Association - for companies and agencies professionals directly involved with the Incentive Marketing, which includes panel programming and business roundtables; and the 2nd OAB / SP Law Congress applied to Hotel trade and Tourism.
The Pantanal International Tourism Forum, promoted by the Tourism Secretariat of Mato Grosso, is also part of the ABAV Expo program for the first time this year.
"This year event is even bigger and better. The partnership between Braztoa and ABAV, two of the most representative entities in the sector, is Strong enough to bring new partners and create mechanisms to promote different experiences through a 360º vision of the sector. We will hold the 50th ECB which will bring novelties, innovations, capabilities and emphasis on business generation, that characterizes us, " says Magda Nassar, president of Braztoa, and partner in the organization of the event by means of the Braztoa Business Meeting, with the confirmed participation of 32 associates such as operators, insurers, assistance cards and representatives of tourist products and services.
And continuing the same partnership of the previous years, the Brazilian Association of Corporate Travel Agencies - Abracorp - participates with the second edition of the Abracorp Forum and the Corporate Island, in the area of exhibitions; as well as Air Tkt and Clia Brasil that maintain associated companies in their spaces - consolidators and maritime companies respectively

AMPRO connection with MICE - Is a space dedicated to the interaction between buyers and suppliers of the MICE segment (Meetings, Incentive, Conferences and Exhibitions); It will connect potential travel buyers and promote lectures and activations. There will also be a space reserved for business rounds with the interaction of the member agencies interested in travel and event services with ABAV Expo exhibitors. It will also promote training and presentation of content in the AMPRO Live Talks project, aimed to the Live Marketing market -related professionals.
Travelport connection with Big data: Will be attended by partner associates by presenting the tourism industry trends, and consolidated companies and startups focused on technological solutions. The area will present different technology solutions to support from small to large new companies, with structures for tourism and shared spaces. The systems aim to solve the daily agencies demands and improve the processes with the clients.
OAB/SP: The ABAV Expo will host the 2nd OAB / SP Law Congress applied to Hotel trade and Tourism. The panels will present themes and discuss tourism-related solutions, such as: travel agencies legislation-related, Hotel business-related taxation, Anac resolutions, travel agencies responsibilities, etc.
Hosted Buyers Program - With the support of Embratur there will be the presence of 40 international buyers from countries such as China, Australia, Canada, USA, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia Ecuador, Germany, Russia and United Kingdom.
Match business – There will be two business meetings, one between operators and hosted buyers with the national trade (9/27, from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.), and another between these and the national trade (9/28 between 1:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.)
Vila do Saber: Specialists and businessmen reference in Brazil will be gathered in six arenas to present their management experience, as well as trends themes and innovations in the sector. This years discussions are: management, transformation, connection, segmentation and technology. Some highlights will be present among the extensive program of lectures such as: Experiences and Surprises: the new travel trends; Corporate Travel Policies and Compliance: transparency in relations; The Luxury and tourism market; ABAV Tech: Travel Agencies - Are you prepared to successfully act in the market?; Far beyond advertising: your brand as a content provider; Health - the seek of living their relationship with tourism; Music Festivals - a world map of opportunities; Embratur - trends in the European Market. And the panels with Abracorp, Braztoa, and Women in charge of Tourism with Chieko Aoki, Blue Tree Network, Marisa Canton, Brazilian Academy of Tourism and Events, among others. There are dozens of lectures every single day and the complete grid, as well as pre-registrations for seat reservation will be available on the website from 22/8.
Exhibitor brands – There will be the presence of about 1.1 thousand brands, including international destinations, such as Portugal, Poland, USA, Tanzania, China, Peru, and Argentina, among others.
