  1. What are the dates and times for the holding of the event?
    From September 27 thru 29, from 13.00 to 20.00.
  2. What is the event's address?

  3. What kind of public can visit the event?
    The event is aimed at the tourism sector’s professionals, students and press.
  4. What is the registration fee?
    Registration is free for tourism professionals.
  5. How do I register?
    Registration for visitors will be opened starting in April, and registration will be free for tourism professionals.
  6. Is the badge valid for all the event’s days?
    Yes.
  7. Can I print off my badge and bring it with me?
    Every year ABAV Nacional seeks to promote and practice sustainability and for this the 50th edition of ABAV’s International Tourism Expo we would kindly ask you not to print off your badge, but rather to use the QR code that is in your electronic badge.
    All you have to do is to download this badge to your mobile handset and present it at the entrance to the event, thus ensuring greater agility and comfort when entering the event.
  8. How should I be dressed?
    Smart casual business attire.
  9. Can people aged under 18 enter the event?
    Yes. The person responsible will have to sign a consent form at the event’s entrance, and also present when leaving.
  10. Where can I find the list of exhibitors?
    The complete exhibitors’ list will be published soon on the ABAV EXPO website. Please, stand by.
  11. Where can I find the map of the event?
    The map of the event will be released in September, on the ABAV EXPO website. Please, stand by.
  12. Which hotels are accredited?
    We have some hotels available with negotiated rates check out
  13. Information about Caravans?
    For information about Road Caravans, please get in touch with the ABAV branch in your state.
  14. How can I register to take part in the lectures?
    The slots are filled according to the order of arrival at the lecture venue. Please remember that the schedule may undergo alterations.
  15. Where can I find the lecture schedule?
    It will shortly be made available on the ABAV EXPO site.
  16. What is the starting time for the lectures?
    The lectures start at 14.00.
  17. Do those who take part in the lectures get a certificate?
    Yes, it has to be requested using the e-mail capacitacao@abav.com.br
  18. Will there be a transfer service to the event?
    Yes, we will soon be giving details of the times.
  19. Will there be storage lockers available at ABAV EXPO?
    Yes, the cost will be R$5,00 a day during the event’s schedule (from 13.00 to 20.00), after this time, there will be a charge of R$40,00 + the daily rate for the next day (+R$5,00).
  20. Will there be on-site parking?
    Yes, the parking lot is managed by ÍNDIGO ESTACIONAMENTO, the number of hours and prices are managed by the company itself. Car and Motorcycle - Daily (12h): R$30.00 (thirty reais).

EXHIBITORS FAQ

  1. What is the address of the Riocentro Exhibition & Convention Center PAVILIONS 3 and 4?

  2. What is the date and time for setting up the event?
    From September 22 thru 25, from 8.00 to 22.00.
  3. What is the date for decorating the event?
    September 26, from 12.00 to 18.00.
  4. What is the date and time for the holding of the event?
    From September 27 thru 29, from 13.00 to 20.00.
  5. What is the date and time for the disassembly of the event?
    From September 29, once the carpet has been removed and the inspectors have given their approval, until October 1, at 18.00.
  6. As an exhibitor, can I be present during the setting-up stage?
    Yes, you should have your ELECTRONIC badge with you.
  7. Is it compulsory during the setting-up stage to be wearing a helmet?
    Yes, anyone who is there during the setting up stage is required to wear a helmet.
  8. Where am I located on the floor plan?
    To get this information please get in touch with our office and speak with the Exhibitors’ Service Center, using the e-mail: caex@abav.com.br from 9.00 to 18.00.
  9. How can I find out how much energy I will use at my stand?
    Electric energy will be supplied in KVA units. In order to calculate the minimum required, the fraction of 0.1 kVA X m2 is used. For example, for a stand that measures 20 m²: 20 m²X 0.1 KVA = 20 KVA.
    This calculation is just enough to meet the basic lighting needs.
    We would ask you to check with the real electric energy requirement with the stand builder contracted, bearing in mind that this additional amount has to be requested and paid for before the assembly period.
  10. What is KVA?
    KVA (kilovolt-amperes) is the measurement used for electric energy consumption.
  11. Which services should I request and how do I pay for them?
    First off you should make sure that your contract includes all the compulsory services (see the items listed below). You should also check with your stand builder whether there is any need to request additional and/or complementary services.
    Don’t forget that the following items are compulsory:
    • Power outlet;
    • Minimum energy consumption;
    • Fire extinguisher;
    • Removal of assembly debris;
    After checking this, access the exhibitors’ portal with your login and password, on the ABAV Expo website www.abavexpo.com.br, where you will find the forms for requesting the surplus items.

  13. How can I get information about the parking lot?
    The pavilion's parking lot is managed by the company Índigo.

  14. How many free badges am I entitled to?
    Each exhibitor is entitled to one badge for each 3m². e.g.: 25m² = eight badges.
  15. How many people can I bring from my company?
    There is no limit on the number of people each company can register. However, the quota in terms of free badges is one of 1 (one) badge per m², with 20% of these being allowed to be used as service badges, generated in the respective exhibitor's link. A charge will be made for any badges over and above the free quota. Check out the table in the exhibitors’ restricted area with your login and password.
